SonOff iHost è un computer a scheda singola (simile al Raspberry) in cui SonOff ha integrato ZigBee (3.0), RJ45 per la connessione Lan/Internet e WiFi (non ancora disponibile, settembre 2024).

SonOff iHost is a single board computer (like Raspberry) where SonOff has integrate ZigBee (3.0), RJ45 for Lan/Internet connection and the WiFi (not jet available up to now, September 2024).

La caratteristica principale di iHost è che esegue localmente le tue automazioni, il che significa che se a casa, in ufficio, ecc. perdi la connessione Internet, le tue automazioni continueranno a funzionare.
Questo è un enorme vantaggio in termini di sicurezza di funzionamento delle nostre automazioni.

The main feature of iHost is that it run locally your automations, this means that if in your house, office, etc, you lost the internet connection your automations contine to works.
This is a huge advantage in terms of operational safety of our automations.

Ma non finisce qui, ad oggi SonOff dichiara che iHost è compatibile con molti altri dispositivi non SonOff (noi utilizziamo con successo le lampadine Osram Smat+), c’è il supporto Matter ed è possibile installare molti componenti aggiuntivi per espandere le possibilità delle proprie automazioni, ad esempio per inviare email, chiamare il cellulare, ecc.
Non ultimo è possibile installare anche Node-RED.

Is not finish here, up to now SonOff declare that iHost is compatible with a lot of othe non SonOff devices (we use succesfully bulb Osram Smat+), there is the Matter support and it is possible install a lot of addon for expand the possibility of your automations, for example to send email, ring cellular, etc.
Non ultimo è possibile installare anche Node-RED.

Naturalmente è possibile accedere a iHost anche da remoto (tramite smartphone) grazie al componente aggiuntivo Tailscale.

Of course is possible access to iHost also from remote (by smartphone) thank to addon Tailscale.

Note tecniche – Technical notes

  • Forse il limite è che ad oggi può gestire un massimo di 128 oggetti.
    Dal PC si accede attraverso l’indirizzo: http://ihost.local/
  • Supporta gli oggetti ZigBee di SonOff ma non solo, già oggi dicono di essere compatibili con IKEA, AQARA, PHILIPS e MATTER.
  • Serve aggiungere una micro SD card o TF card al massimo da massimo 256 GB.
     Serve anche un alimentatore USB da 2A perchè non è in dotazione, il cavo USB è in dotazione così come il cavo Ethernet.
  • La temperatura di funzionamento va da -10 a +40 °C.
  • Il collegamento deve essere fatto con RJ45 (in dotazione), supporta ZigBee 3.0 e con un prossimo aggiornamento SW anche WiFi a 2,4 GHz, è per questo che oggi serve connettersi con il cavo RJ45.
  • Carina la mappatura grafica della rete ZigBee che ci dice anche la qualità del segnale e il tipo di device connesso (End-Device o Router), vedere immagine sotto.

Accesso remoto via smartphone – Remote access via smartphone

  • Attualmente serve installare sul cellulare Tailscale e la stessa intstallazione va fatta su iHost selezionando Add-on e poi Tailscale, vedere sotto.
